About this job:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and conceptual development of existing and new trade fairs in China in various industry sectors (kitchen, hardware, food, baby and maternity products, education)
  • Interface between project teams and marketing department against the background of the overall positioning of all events in China
  • Interface between Koelnmesse China and HQ (reporting, elaboration of marketing synergies with Koelnmesse HQ concerning other trade fairs, local implementation of corporate marketing guidelines)
  • Creation and implementation of domestic and international marketing concepts for international exhibitor and visitor promotion
  • Develop local brand and marketing strategies to achieve pre-defined goals
  • Leverage on key channels online and offline
  • Supervision of all activities for domestic and international promotion (collaterals, tools, channels, content, budget)
  • Budget control, management and monitoring within allocated resources




  • Mitwirkung bei der konzeptionellen und strategischen Weiterentwicklung der Veranstaltungen in China
  • Schnittstelle zwischen den Projektteams und der Marketingabteilung
  • Schnittstelle zwischen Koelnmesse China und dem HQ (Reporting, Ausarbeitung von Synergien vor dem Hintergrund korrespondierender Veranstaltungen der Koelnmesse weltweit, lokale Implementierung der Marketingrichtlinien)
  • Erstellung und Implementierung umfassender Marketingstrategien zur internationalen und lokalen Aussteller- und Besucherwerbung
  • Steuerung aller Aktivitäten zur Bewerbung der Veranstaltungen (Materialien, Tools, Kanäle, Inhalte, Budget)
  • Kontrolle und Management verfügbarer Budgets
  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar positions showing great leadership.
  • Experience in B2B sales. Must be confident and comfortable to interact frequently with customers and colleagues within and outside China.
  • Experience in the exhibition or event industry is preferred but not required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident, result-driven self-starter with proactive and creative nature
  • Excellent in English, German and Chinese language skills are preferred but not required
